Veneto is one of the four big wine growing regions of Italy.
With 80.000 hectare the wine growing area of Veneto is almost as big as
Germany's. 20% of Veneto's wines have DOC status. Veneto is the origin both of
traditional, expressive red grapes, like Amarone or Valpolicella, and of simple,
delicious wines like Bardolino. Soave is the most famous grape among the white
wines.
Many of you might also know the tangy Prosecco and the
harmonical, pleasing wines of Colli
Euganei. Besides, we have some wines from the areas Breganze, Colli Berici and Piave.
They definitely contribute to Veneto's positive image.
